The Australian Data Bank is being established as a new type of mutually owned technology organisation, and perpetual bank for data. Our vision is a global network of similar organisations - building services optimised for health and prosperity, creating new opportunities for people and businesses, and demonstrating the practical implementation of public policy principles.

A Data Vault is a sovereign repository of information owned by an individual or business, secured by encryption where only the owner holds the keys. They are the digital equivalent of a home - a place you own, that contains your property, where only you control what comes in and goes out.
With our own Data Vaults, we can regain control of the information that fuels our digital world. We can empower outcomes that nurture our health and prosperity, while disempowering outcomes that don't. We can do this individually and collectively, at local through global scales.
